Equipment

China Biotech Corporation (CBC) has established a comprehensive Gamma irradiation operational system encompassing critical links such as Co-60 radiation sources, safety shielding, automated conveyance, and radiation dosimetry monitoring. By integrating equipment automation with rigorous process controls, we ensure that every production lot undergoes irradiation under stable, validated, and secure conditions.

Co-60 Source System & Safety Shielding

Stable Radiation Source × Biological Shielding × Safety Interlock System

Equipped with Nordion Co-60 sealed radiation sources housed in dedicated source racks. When not in operation, the sources are submerged in a deep water pool, ensuring safe storage and radiation protection management.

The irradiation chamber is constructed with thick reinforced concrete biological shielding to effectively attenuate Gamma rays, strictly containing radiation operations within controlled zones.

Equipped with ambient environmental detectors, radiation access interlocks, and continuous radiation monitoring sensors. Upon detecting any abnormality, the automated fail-safe interlock immediately retracts the source rack to the safe storage position at the pool bottom.

Automated Loading/Unloading & Conveyor System

Standardized Loading × Automated Conveyance × Stable Processing

Upon verification, products are loaded into dedicated sterilization containers (TOTEs) and transferred into the irradiation zone via automated conveyor systems. Operating under pre-programmed routes and load configurations, the system elevates processing efficiency and ensures batch-to-batch repeatability.

Four-Tier Carrier Exchange System

Automated Operation × Four-Tier Shuffling × Uniform Dose Delivery

Once loaded into sterilization containers (TOTEs), the automated conveyance transports them along dedicated paths into the irradiation chamber. The multi-pass four-tier exchange system shuffles and rotates the TOTEs vertically and horizontally, ensuring products receive uniform radiation dose absorption throughout.

The overhead suspended monorail conveyor is powered by three drive motor sets and chains, coordinated with computer-controlled pneumatic stops to precisely regulate carrier indexing and dwell times across the radiation field.

04

Radiation Dosimetry Monitoring System

Direct Measurement Validating Absorbed Product Dose

We employ calibrated thin-film dosimeters manufactured by Far West Technology (USA), traceable to international and US national metrology standards (NIST). Optical absorbance is quantified pre- and post-irradiation via high-precision spectrophotometers, and proprietary dosimetry software accurately calculates exact absorbed radiation dose values.

Logistics & Inventory Management

Segregated Zoning × Clear Labeling × Agile Logistics

Unirradiated and irradiated goods are strictly segregated into designated quarantined and released warehouse zones, integrated with color-coded radiation indicators and rigorous chain-of-custody controls to eliminate mix-up risks.

Our facility features 4 container loading docks and over 5,000 m² (1,500 ping) of warehouse space, offering comprehensive warehousing, cross-docking, container destuffing, and scheduled split-batch dispatch services tailored to customer requirements.
